Leah-Ellen Heming was born in Brussels and grew up in Belgium. She graduated from Falmouth college of Art in 2005 and has since been based in Bristol, working from Jamaica Street studios. Since graduating Leah has worked full time as an illustrator, character designer, fine artist art director and concept designer. She has exhibited in Belgium and London and extensively in Bristol, including the Royal West of England Academy. She has an international client list and has illustrated ten published children's books. Her fine art canvases, pictured on this website, see her combining her love of character design, vintage advertising and typography with a witty and satirical edge. These designs are available as a series of limited edition signed Giclee prints on top quality Hahnemuhle archival grade paper. Leah's recent achievements include designing an animation for the Monty Python film "A Liar's Autobiography" and working on the BBC's Cbeebies television series Driver Dan's Story Train and Num Tums.
