Bjorn Rune Lie is an internationally renowned illustrator and fine artist from Norway, now based in Bristol's Jamaica Street Studios. He graduated from Falmouth College of Arts in 2001 and has been working in his dream job ever since. Bjorn’s images have appeared on milk cartons, magazine covers, text books and album covers. He has written and illustrated two award winning Norwegian children’s books and his third book “The Wolf’s Whistle”, published by Nobrow Press is out now. As well as doing commissions for a range of international clients, he also does a lot of personal fine artwork and projects. Bjorn’s artworks tend to feature a cast of bizarre characters, often situated within strangely beautiful landscapes. Some of his recent inspiration includes old botanical illustrations, photos from the Russian revolution, Victorian glass houses, modernist architectural plan drawings, Hydro electric power stations and the adventures of eccentric explorers.
